3" Downpipes, Sports Cats & Decats

If you are looking to change your stock downpipe for a 3" one there is some things you need to know first.

The 1.8T engine will give the best power returns when you increase flow both in and out, by increasing the downpipe size it allows gases to leave the engine faster thus giving you more hp.

Be careful of cheap downpipes as they are made of weak metal which when put under 650 degree temps can cause cracks, they fowl the prob and bulkhead and are just nasty.
